LEMONADE
Lemonade, be sure to include
some of the scooped out pulp in the drink
4 lemons - Roll each lemon back and forth in the palms
of your hands to soften them, cut them in half then
remove seeds, squeeze juice and scoop the
pulp out with a spoon.
1/2 Lime squeezed in drink mixture
1/2 Lime, cut in 3 wedges to garnish glass rim
1 cup sugar syrup
4 cups water
2 cups ice, crushed
Shake or mix well, chill well before adding ice and serve in 8 ounce glasses. Add more lemon or sugar syrup to taste.
Top with a slice of lime or make lime wedges.
Optional; Add a Maraschino Cherry to each glass.
Fills 3 tall glasses
SUGAR SYRUP RECIPE
Use in any drink with no gritty sugar settling on bottom. Stores for a long time in a tight lid jar at room temperature. Use in cold drinks and hot beverages, in baking, cooking and salad dressing recipes.
1 cup sugar or 1 and 1/4 cup Splenda
1 cup water

Combine sugar and water, bring to a boil and stir for several minutes until dissolved, cool.
Makes 1 cup of syrup equivalent to 1 cup of sugar.
