BREAD for sandwiches
1 lb loaf white bread yields 17 - 5/8 inch thick slices 
without end crusts.

1 lb loaf white bread (thin slices) yields 23 1/2-inch thick slices without end crusts.

2 lbs loaf white bread (large) yields 28 - 1/2 inch thick slices without end
crusts.

1 lb loaf whole wheat bread (large) yields 16 - 5/8-inch slices without end crusts.

1 pound loaf rye bread yields 19 - 5/8 inch thick slices without end crusts.

SANDWICH MEAT
Corned Beef, cooked, 1 pound sufficient for 8 sandwiches.
Ham (baked or boiled) 1 pound sliced as purchased, has about 16 thin slices.

1 slice (1 oz) sufficient for 1 sandwich.
2 slices (2 oz) sufficient for a generous sandwich.
3 slices (3 oz) makes a generous serving of ham for a meal.

Summer Sausage, 1 lb sliced as purchased, has about 18 slices.

CONTENTS OF CANS 
Vegetables and Juices

One #2 can of vegetables yield 5 servings of about 1/2 cup each.
One #2 1/2 can of vegetables yields 7 servings of about 1/2 cup each.
One #5 cans (46 or 47 ounces) of juice yields 12 servings of about 1/2 cup each.
One #10 can of vegetables yield 25 servings of about 1/2 cup each. 

FROZEN VEGETABLES
TWELVE-12 ounces each packages frozen vegetables will yield 50 servings.

COFFEE in URN
1-½ lbs for 50 servings
3 lbs for 100 servings
Always add a pinch or two of salt; it will remove any bitterness.
