BREADED FISH FRY RECIPE
Pan Fried, Baked Crispy.
Use Pike, Cod and All White Fish
Filets or Small Pan Fish.

Ingredients
1 cup flour for coating
1 cup breadcrumbs for coating
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon paprika
1 onion cut in half ( throw away onion after rubbing fish)
Use 1/4 cup butter and 1/4 cup shortening for frying
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 tablespoon salt mixed with 2 cups milk and 2 cups water to soak fish

Method
Rub fish with salt and paprika, then with an onion, season with pepper; place in a pan and pour in the salted milk and water mixture to cover fish, cover pan with a lid or foil and place in refrigerator overnight.
Next day; Wipe fish dry and coat it in flour. Thin a beaten egg with 1 tablespoon water, then dip fish in the egg mix, next roll fish in breadcrumbs. Let set for 5-10 minutes. Using a medium heat, fry fish in a half and half mixture of butter and shortening only until coating is a light golden brown on both sides, remove fish and place in a baking pan, bake about 25 minutes in a 300-F oven. Fish is done when it flakes with a fork. Garnish with lemon slices.

1/3 cup  Ketchup
1/4 cup  Balsamic Vinegar
Optional; Hot sauce or horseradish to taste
