TOAST OR BISCUIT GRAVY
Jimmy Dean Sausage Gravy






Ingredients and Method
In a large fry pan, fry 1/2 lb. bacon until done, remove bacon from pan but not the grease. Save the cooked bacon in a food storage bag then freeze to use it another time. 
Add 3 heaping tablespoon flour to the bacon grease and make a paste, remove from pan and set aside.

Add 1/2 cup of water to the now empty pan and fry 1 pack (12-16 oz.) Jimmy Dean's Sage or Regular Sausage, cover pan while frying, mashing with a potato masher to make little pieces towards the end of cooking it. Remove cooked sausage and set aside.

Fry 1/2 cup diced onions to a light-golden color then mix it into the cooked sausage.

With heat on medium and in the now empty pan, add 2 and 1/2 cups water, 3/4 cup can evaporated milk, 1 cup non-fat milk, 1 tablespoon of chicken flavor bouillon powder, 1/4  teaspoon black pepper, and the flour paste. Whisk good until all is blended. Increase heat and bring to a slow boil while whipping. Reduce heat to a simmer and add cooked onions and sage sausage, simmer about 1/2 hour,  Stir frequently adding small amounts of water if needed. Spoon over warm oven baked biscuits, shake on salt and pepper to taste.
