SHRIMP BBQ
Shrimp in barbecue sauce
Ingredients
1 small can of tomato sauce
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoons liquid smoke
2 cups olive oil
1 cup butter
1 cup lemon juice
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoons crushed thyme
1 tablespoons oregano
1 tablespoons garlic powder
1 tablespoons pepper
1 tablespoons salt
1 teaspoon rosemary crushed
2 tablespoon hot sauce
3 bay leaves
1 cup dry vermouth
5 to 6 pound jumbo shrimp, headless and unpeeled
Boil four cups of rice until tender.
Method
Combine all ingredients except shrimp in a sauce pan and cook over low heat until well blended. Remove from heat; allow cooling and refrigerating for several hours or overnight. Place shrimp in a large roasting pan, pour sauce over all and bake at 350-F for 30 minutes, turning shrimp every 10 minutes.
Cook enough rice to serve 8. Spoon shrimp and sauce over cooked rice and serve.
When ready to serve: some liquid from shrimp can be brushed on Italian bread halves sprinkled with garlic powder and salt then toasted under an oven broiler.
