Sweeten it with Sugar Syrup!
How to make your own Sugar Syrup

1. Sweetening Beverages (See recipe below:) Use a *sugar syrup for sweetening, since a syrup gives smoothness not obtained with granulated sugar. In the summertime it is well to keep a covered jar of it in the refrigerator.
2. Blending when making drinks: When combining two or more fruit juices or beverages, always have one predominate in flavor.
3. Ripening: Store the combined mixture in the refrigerator for at least half hour or longer to improve the flavors. Add soda-pop carbonated flavor just before serving.
4. Serving: Serve well chilled. When possible use ice cubes made of the predominate fruit flavor. If plain ice cubes are used, allow for dilution of melting ice.

TO MAKE SUGAR SYRUP
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
pinch of salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Stir water, sugar and salt while bringing to a full boil, syrup will begin cloudy and then change to crystal clear water, remove and cool a little then mix in vanilla.

Makes 1 cup of syrup equivalent to 1 cup of sugar.
Stores for a long time in a tight lid jar at room temperature. Use in cold drinks and hot beverages, in baking, cooking and salad dressing recipes.

Make Sauces and Toppings
You can also add cornstarch with this syrup plus natural or artificial fruit flavoring and low-boil it until sauce thickens. Mix syrup with Kool-aid or Jello flavors to make strawberry glaze or other fruit glazes by thickening it with cornstarch and heating. Make Your own pancake syrup and sauces for ice cream, crepes, and bakery toppings. Very good over bread pudding.
