How to thaw a Turkey
Bw Safe - Always thaw in your Refrigerator.
Defrost the turkey in its original wrapper on a tray
in the refrigerator 24 hours for every 5 pounds.
(A 20 lb. frozen turkey will take 4-5 days so plan
ahead.) Never thaw a turkey at room temperature. .

Instructions
You will need 1 Reynolds Oven Bag, Turkey Size
1 tablespoon flour
1 medium onion, sliced
12 to 24 pound turkey, thawed
Vegetable oil
Salt
Pepper

Very Easy Method
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Remove neck and giblets from turkey cavities. Wash Rinse turkey well including cavities; pat dry. Brush turkey with oil, shake on some salt and black pepper. Shake the flour in Oven Bag and Place turkey in roasting bag on top of a sliced onion. place bag, with turkey in it, in roasting pan that is at least 2 inches deep.

Close oven bag with a nylon tie; cut six 1/2–inch slits in top. Insert a meat thermometer through bag into thickest part of an inner thigh, not touching bone. Tuck ends of bag in pan.

Roast (bake) the turkey until the thermometer reads 180°F, 2 to 2 1/2 hours for a 12 to 16 lb. turkey, 2 1/2 to 3 hours for a 16 to 20 lb. turkey, and 3 to 3 1/2 hours for a 20 to 24 lb. turkey. For easy slicing, let stand in oven bag 15 minutes. If turkey sticks to bag, gently loosen bag from turkey before opening oven bag.

Estimate 1 pound per person for generous servings with leftovers.
