HAWAIIAN WALDORF SALAD
With Pineapple, Pear, Apples,
Marshmallow and Nuts.
Was first created around 1893 at
the Waldorf Hotel in New York City

Ingredients
1 cup diced, pears  and
1 cup of sliced red apples
1 cup pineapple, chopped into cubes
2 tablespoons lemon juice mixed
with 1/8 teaspoon Chinese five spice
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
2 tablespoon  mayonnaise
1 cup small marshmallows bits
1/2 cup coarsely chopped celery
1/4 cup chopped walnuts

Method
Toss the fruit with lemon juice mixed with Chinese five spice, sugar mixed with mayonnaise then marshmallows bits, add and toss the celery and walnuts to salad. Serve on lettuce leaves and sprinkle with French salad dressing.

In Hawaii, Mangos are commonly grown in backyards and the fruit is often eaten ripe, but they are also enjoyed while still green with vinegar, soy sauce, salt, and pepper.
