MAKE A BUTTERMILK SUBSTITUTE FOR THIS RECIPE - 
By adding 1 teaspoon vinegar to 1/2 cup milk

Microwave Power Level: 7 (MEDIUM-HIGH)
Approximate. Cooking Time 9 min
Yield: 1 loaf

Bread Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-½ cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
1-½ teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Bread Method:
1. Cream together sugar and butter; stir in 2 slightly beaten eggs, buttermilk and vanilla. Add remaining ingredients, stirring only until flour is moistened.

2. Into "8 x 4 x 2 1/2 " greased glass loaf dish, bottom lined with wax paper, spoon batter; sprinkle with additional cinnamon. Heat 8 to 9 minutes on POWER LEVEL 7, let stand, covered, 10 minutes.

3. Invert and remove wax paper; let stand 5 minutes. Store, covered, until ready to serve.

Bread variations; Fold in any 1/2 cup of the following, tossed with 1 tablespoon flour:
Blueberries
Chopped apricots
Cranberries
Raisins
Mashed Banana
