Tennessee Chili Recipe

Ingredients:
2 lbs hamburger 
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
2 teaspoons salt
1 cup chopped onion
2 teaspoons paprika
4 tablespoons chili powder
1/2 tablespoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Put all spices above in a small zip lock bag and shake to mix

Instructions:
In a separate fry pan add 2 lbs hamburger, onions and 
1 cups of water. Bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat and simmer until meat is no longer pink. Mash hamburger during cooking with a potato masher to break into smaller pieces. Do not overcook.

Next: In a large soup pot
3 cups water
1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
1 (28 oz can) stewing tomatoes
2 cups tomato juice 
All mixed spices in sandwich zip lock bag
3 cans dark Kidney beans or chilli beans including liquid (15 oz each can)
All the fried meat, onions and grease

Cover and simmer on for 1-2 hours stirring frequently

Serve by the bowl full or even serve as a French fry topping. Sprinkle each serving with shredded cheddar cheese. Add a small side cup of Hellman's real mayonnaise as a condiment dip for French fries if they are served on the side.

Yields: 10-12 servings. Leftovers can be portioned in freezer zip lock bags then frozen​
